BikeERG Connection Options

The Concept2 BikeErg is compatible with the Sufferfest Training Center. It sends an ANT+ FE-C signal for power and an ANT+ speed and cadence signal. This is not a true ERG control bike like the Wahoo Kickr Bike or Wattbike Atom. The user still needs to adjust the damper to control the resistance. You will also need the PM5 head unit to work with the Sufferfest Training App.  Note: The bike will connect using Bluetooth but will only give average power, not a power reading, thus is not supported.

iOS Bluetooth Desktop (macOS) Bluetooth Desktop ANT+
No- will only report average power. No- Will only report Average Power Yes (FE-C)

Note: In order to connect the BikeErg to The Sufferfest Training System App you need the PM5 computer installed on your BikeERG unit.

  1. Insert your Ant+ dongle into your Mac or Windows computer and launch The Sufferfest App.

The PM5/BikeErg is broadcasting... now connect to The Sufferfest App

  1. Select the 'Add Devices' button in the Device Connections Menu of The Sufferfest app
  2. Select the 'FE-C Trainer' that is displayed in the list
  3. Choose the 'Power' and 'Cadence' icons below the trainer's name
  4. Start pedalling and the workout should begin playing.

Bluetooth Setup-  Please note:  This will only report Average Power and is not recommended as a connection to the app.  We recommend ANT+.

Note: The PM5 computer should be broadcasting by default when you power on the unit.  If you still have trouble connecting try the Ant+ setup steps above on the PM5 and then see if you can locate the BikeErg Bluetooth connection in the 'Add Devices' list of the Device Connections Menu
