Fully Interactive Smart Bikes

Smart Bikes connect to the app in the same way as smart trainers, although some have additional features that are explained below. They will connect to the app using Bluetooth or ANT+ and allow the app to:

  1. Report data; including power, cadence, and speed
  2. Contol the resistance of the bike when in ERG mode
  3. Set a constant resistance in Level mode.

This category was limited to the Wattbike Atom until recently, but now includes the Wahoo Kickr Bike and others.

Wahoo Kickr Bike

The Kickr Bike will connect using Bluetooth on iOS and ANT+ or Bluetooth on desktop (macOS, Windows) platforms. This article will go into more detail on how the Kickr Bike will interact with The Sufferfest app.

 

SRM SmartIT

The SRM Smart Indoor Trainer is a fully interactive trainer that should connect with The Sufferfest app but has not been tested. Please contact us if you have this spin bike and need help getting connected.  

 

StagesBike (SB20)

The StagesBike is fully interactive and compatible with The Sufferfest app using Bluetooth on iOS.  For Windows and Mac, please use ANT+.  (Bluetooth will appear to connect but may not give any data or any control) 

 

Tacx Neo Bike Smart

The Tacx Neo Bike Smart is fully supported using Bluetooth on iOS and ANT+ or Bluetooth on desktop (macOS, Windows) platforms. It will have both ERG and Level modes.  

 

Wattbike Atom
